Gas prices rollercoaster back up again in Vernon

The power went out and gas went up.
Separate events, mind you, but still annoying.
Quite the Wednesday in Greater Vernon.
A power outage was felt through the city from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
Blood pressure and anger management went up as gas stations raised their prices more than 20 cents per litre of regular fuel.
Shortly before 10 a.m., prices were listed at $1.55.9 for regular fuel, and people had been enjoying lower prices for a couple of days.
Then came to an end Wednesday afternoon, when Vernon stations suddenly were posting regular fuel at $1.77.9 per litre.
According to the website gasbuddy.com at shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, three Okanagan stations were listed among the top-10 lowest gas prices in the province:
• Costco in Kelowna was at No. 1 with regular fuel at $1.48.9 per litre;
• Canco/One Stop in Cherryville was sitting at No. 4 at $1.55.9;
• Esso in Armstrong, at Smith Drive, was at No. 9 at $1.59.9 per litre.
